As a child Claudia enjoyed foraging in the garden, and delighted in finding creatures of all sorts. She had a miniature ' museum' which housed lots of natural history finds.
Her fascination with natural history and museums continues, natural history collections have become the subject of an ongoing body of work.

The use of yupo paper and watercolour evokes the delicate, translucency of delicate porcelain and the fragility of the insects.
